Cancelled due to Covid: Winnipeg New Music Festival
This event is cancelled due to the pandemic. Dame Evelyn Glennie returns to the Manitoba Centennial Concert Hall, Winnipeg to open the 31st Winnipeg New Music Festival with an exciting Percussion Concerto by Jennifer Higdon, performing with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra.

Screening: “Touch the Sound” followed by Q&A with Dame Evelyn Glennie
Join world renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and acclaimed composer Michael Daugherty in a series of masterclasses, lectures, and rehearsals. Tickets for the screening of the award winning film "Touch the Sound" with Q&A session are free and are available through the Cali Immersive Residency website. Join world renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and acclaimed composer Michael Daugherty in a series of masterclasses, lectures, and rehearsals. The week will culminate in the world premiere performance of the wind band version of Michael Daugherty’s Dreamachine by the MSU Wind Symphony with Dame Evelyn Glennie as soloist. Tickets for the performance are priced at $20 and are available through the Cali Immersive Residency website.
