Last year Evelyn thrilled a German audience in Köln with the première of Dreamachine by American composer Michael Daugherty. Less than a year later she returns to Germany to perform the same work in Stuttgart on two consecutive nights. Followed by Shostakovich's monumental Symphony No 10, these will be absolutely unmissable events. Evelyn Glennie brings her innovative brand of performance to Hugo Ticciati's new chamber orchestra of young string virtuosos. This concert, entitled Minimal Impact, brings together minimalist music and dense sound worlds. Both Evelyn and Ticciati will perform in the world première of Jill Jarman's new double concerto, Mindstream. This time she returns with the local premiere of Chinese-Canadian composer Vincent Ho’s The Shaman, a special composition for Evelyn Glennie, but in a Chinese orchestra version adapted by Malaysian composer Simon Kong Su Leong.
