Dame Evelyn Glennie is the world’s premier solo percussionist. She will be joined in conversation with the Scottish Parliament’s Deputy Presiding Officer Liam McArthur MSP to discuss her career and her thoughts on our central theme for 2023 – Where do we go from here?

Glennie has received over 100 international awards, including an OBE and two Grammy Awards. A BAFTA nominee, she has released over 40 solo recordings, alongside composing for film, theatre and television.  Her charity The Evelyn Glennie Foundation embodies her life-long mission to teach the world to listen, helping to create a society where communication and social cohesion are improved by the act of listening.

This event is a partnership between the Edinburgh International Festival and the Festival of Politics.
