The American Christopher Rouse wrote Der gerettete Alberich 1997 for Evelyn Glennie. Not only this dazzling work that on music from Richard Wagner’s Ring des Nibelungen has recourse can, with all sorts verführungs_kunst to fascinate. When Alberich in Ring is the failed seducer seems DonJuan, as he describes in his brilliant Richard Strauss symphonic poem, to be initially successful counterpart.
