The world renowned Scottish virtuoso percussionist, Dame Evelyn Glennie, weaves her spellbinding magic on an array of percussion instruments to spectacular visual and musical effect. Ewazen’s Marimba Concerto is framed by two of the best loved and most recognised works in the classical repertoire: the sparkling overture from The Barber of Seville and Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony which clearly demonstrates why he was one of the romantic era’s finest composers.  An unmissable evening.
